Top String

From standard to fancy schmancy

Sidewall

There isn't 1 good way of doing stringing a sidewall. It depends on your head, the mesh and your personal preference. Check out the UString library and here are a few videos to get your started. Also included are videos on different kinds of knots you can use. I mainly use and recommend SI knots, for 'single' and 'double', as they offer some of the best results.

Shooting strings

The shooter will allow you adapt the whip and hold of the head. It's important to rely more on your sidewall than on your shooters for the amount of whip you want. The shooters are the last tweak, and you shouldn't have too many!

Bottom string

This string is very important as it'll allow you to quickly modify the whip of your stick if it's not throwing great that day.
1) If your stick passes/shoots too low (too much whip) --> Decrease pocket depth
2) If you stick passes/shoots too high (too little whip) --> Increase pocket depth

Even though this video shows a bottom string with a rope material, I recommend using a shooter type material as it'll ensure that your mesh last longer.
