The History of Ghent Lacrosse

Ghent Lacrosse was founded in 2009 by motivated athletes who wanted to grow this beautiful game!

The men's team participated in the first Belgian Cup, in 2009, and took home the Silver medal. In 2011, Ghent Lacrosse founded their women's program and has continued to grown as a club by starting a girl's U19 team in 2016 and a boy's U15 in 2018.

Since 2013, Ghent Lacrosse has been the host of the Champions League of Lacrosse, aka  'The KGC', at the Blaarmeersen sports park. We host the champions of the best European countries (12 men & 12 women) for a crazy weekend of Lacrosse, where the best teams take home the golden crown for 1 year.

De Pinte Lacrosse

De Pinte Lacrosse was founded in 2014 to recruit and train youth players which lived in the Ghent area. The program accomplished its core mission amazingly well, as now around half of Ghent adult team can be linked to De Pinte!

Ghent Lacrosse and De Pinte have now joined forces by hosting youth practices in Ghent at the Blaarmeersen sport park. Ghent Lacrosse is extremely proud of this chapter in its existence and is very thankful towards all the involved board members and dedicated coaches!
